Normally in Oregon we get limited time with the leaves looking pretty in the fall. It seems that most years, just about the time the leaves start getting beautiful, we get a nasty rain and wind storm that blows them all off the trees overnight and turns them into road slime.
Luckily this year it's been fairly dry for a couple of weeks. Today we went out for a drive and I took a few pictures.

Oooooohhhh! Pretty!!!
I love the green leaves as if they are dipped in red paint.. beautiful. I've seen some truly stunning leaves this fall and Amen, no wind storms to cut short the usual fall foliage. Pretty pics too!
Beautiful! We're not there yet. Fall is my favorite time of the year.
Karen: they're really pretty this eyar - and thanks to the dry weather they're staying on the trees long enough to enjoy!
Carrie: aren't those cool - those are on the tree in our front yard - it's still mostly green, but on the way to red.
Scoot: It's been perfect fall weather here this week - sunny and dry, but crisp.
Wow, these are gorgeous! I especially like the one with the bale of hay. Looks a bit like Nebraska! :)
Beautiful!!! I think we're gonna get the short end of the autumn stick here, so I'll just come soak these up as substitutes...
Wowee, those are gorgeous!!!! We don't ever get color quite that vivid. Thanks for sharing with us, Suzi!!!
Les: that one was a pleasant surprise. That field is not far at all from our house - we just ended up on a road we hadn't been on before. I took several pictures and that one turned out the best.
El: any time you need a Fall Fix they're here.
Bookfool: you were my inspiration! Thanks!
We had a really beautiful Fall this year too, in Vancouver. BTW, do you live near Portland? It looks like my hubby and I will be visiting there in December.
TeddyRose: It has just been beatiful this fall, hasn't it? We lost a lot of our leaves to wind and stormy weather in the past week, though. And yes, I do live in the Portland area :-)
